{lilacs+lace} products shoot! – 10.14.15 – grand rapids photographer
Hey everyone! Mid week break for something different than wedding or portrait photography! I like to wet my toes in other photo adventures from time to time.
So, I finally get to introduce you all to Laura’s wonderful Etsy business page, Lilacs+Lace! I got to set up and photograph some of the cutest baby items! These creations have such a cute whimsical look and feel to them, while adding a little bit of style to your child’s every day life. Everything from bibs, to hair bow ties, and pacifier clips. Not only great for every day life, but very cute for photo sessions as well! I went through and picked a few favorites of mine to show you all, but feel free to browse her Etsy page too for more. All items were soft to the touch and the fabric patterns are just really the cutest. There are also a few awesome headbands for adults that I was seriously drooling over too as well, I was so sad to give them all back when I was done shooting (I LOVE headbands, if you couldn’t tell) And you can get 20% off from now until November 8 if you use the code EMILYWAID at checkout. She’s creating new things all the time, so feel free to see updates at her Lilacs+Lace facebook page too!
{amber&jason} married! – 10.3.15 – midland wedding photographer
Why hello again! I’ve been doing SO much traveling this year for weddings back in Michigan – and have many more trips that I’m so excited about! And if I hadn’t been so exhausted getting home at 4:30 this morning I would have JUMPED onto the computer and brought you this sneak. Weddings are the best!
So! You may remember this beautiful couple from their engagement session last July (oh boy that long ago already!? Time seriously flies!!) Amber and Jason are so much fun to work with and I knew their wedding was going to be pretty much amazing when I started hearing the details from Amber in the beginning of this year (and I had some SERIOUS dress envy, I love the idea of combining a poofier skirt with a crazy amazing sequin dress!). And can you believe that she designed all the paper goods herself? Wow. They were married at the nature center for Whiting Forest in Midland and we sneaked a few portraits in on the porch while it was drizzling outside after the ceremony – score! The combination of light, rain, and forest in the background were GOLDEN. The gorgeous forest and outdoors theme was continued beautifully into the perfectly planned reception at the Knights of Columbus hall in Auburn, MI. It was so seriously hard to cull down any details for this post, I looked over all the images I swear for like, an hour… Definitely look forward to more sneak images as I edit on my FB page! Amber and Jason, I hope you enjoy your time in Canada for your honeymoon and can’t wait to get started on these images! AHHH! Enjoy! *Runs to begin working!*
