Hello all! It’s been WAY too long for me since I’ve gotten to do a same day sneak blog post. Seriously they are my favorite part of this job and it makes me sad every time I have a G.R. shoot that I can’t do it anymore. But alas! I get to occasionally do one out here :D
Becca and Matt are such a lovely couple, local to the NYC area in Jersey City. It’s the first time I’ve taken a train to a shoot, and I’m sure it wont be my last but it was so much fun. Paul and I slowly got to know them and the area better slowly as we shot their engagement session with the city skyline in the background as the sun went down tonight and it just was all so incredibly pretty. It was super awesome, they are super awesome, and their super awesome wedding is in almost no time! You’ll be seeing their lovely faces again on the blog in a couple of weeks and I’m pretty darn excited. Also, I got a little excited with the camera on the way home… so some bonus city photos!
One last post for the week! And it’s one of the best one’s ever!
Amber and Jay are so amazing. Not only are they a gorgeous couple, they were willing to meet up with us in G.R. for their photo shoot all the way from the other side of the mitten! We were shooting in the hottest weather ever with super high humidity and we were fighting the storm coming in too, but the weather worked SO well for the vintage romantic in the woods shoot we were looking for. Once the rain began, we ended our shoot at a sports bar to show off a little sports lovin’! Anyway, Amber has been waiting enough time so on to some photographs of course :D
Another day another post! I do love having a post per day, but I really miss posting these sneaks same day – and Marcy totally misses it too! Haha – Finally am getting you and your beautiful family up today!
This family has graced my blog since late 2011! Well, they weren’t a family quite yet back then but they were about to get married and start one! Now 4 years later they are extending their crew of 3 to 4! I can’t wait to meet their little one this Christmas, just like I was so excited to meet little Jose Jr. the December he was born :D I only hope I’m back in time to capture the fresh 48 session :D We did have a little normal toddler melt down but you know what? It was the CUTEST thing when I started saying “Hey you!!!” to little Jose, and I heard back with a giant smile “ayoooou!” Oh.My.Goodness. So much love for this little kid. Also he stole a phone to kick back the paparazzi moment back onto me. Sooo sorry for the terrible photos of me on your phone! But enough reading because I know Marcy is just so excited to see these!
Good morning everyone! I hope if you’re in the heatwave that you’re staying cool, and if you’re not that I’m extremely jealous! Boo to the heat – bring me that late fall/winter back!
So today I present to you my cousin’s wedding! I always love shooting for family. I have a real passion for this and I love knowing I can give my family that they can treasure for the rest of their lives :D You may remember their faces from their engagement session from last fall that we shot near the lake :D They were married at Comstock CRC in Kalamazoo and had their beautiful relaxed reception at her Grandparents Property just down the road. It was a hot and VERY humid day and everyone worked so well to keep spirits high even through the heat! Also, as avid homebrewers, they had brewed and bottled their own homebrewed beer and honey mead. The night ended with paper lanterns and watching the thunderstorm roll by a few miles away. I made a GIF image of it so be sure to look all the way down to the bottom of the post! :D
Good Morning everyone! Paul and I had a fabulous trip back to G.R. this weekend, and had a not so fabulous trip back from G.R. – so many traffic jams! We sat for 2 hours in our car waiting to get over a bridge… ahhh! BUT! We’re home now and I have a whole weeks worth of sneak posts again for y’all that I’m excited to get posting!
The theme of this weekend? Family! And family shoots! Sandwiched between meetings, Dr. appointments and other shoots I definitely found some time for my newest little niece, little Freya. We didn’t get the right amount of time I was out last June to fully capture all those little baby details properly, so I squeezed in a few more photos this time and I’m so glad I did! And as always her siblings are such little hams… there is one or two of Dex and Lucy in there too. Ahaha.
Happy fourth of July everyone – Enjoying the view of these fireworks over the Bronx tonight from my apartment window :D
