{lydia&jabez} married! – 11.16.14 – grand rapids wedding photographer
Final wedding of the year! Well, unless I get any last minute bookings which has been known to happen :D
You may remember the amazingly fun couple Lydia and Jabez from their engagement session in Chicago last April. We were hoping for the last few leaves of the season for the wedding, buuuuuut the weather had different plans! It’s been snowing all week and today was definitely no different. At least the snow held off until the reception :D, just wish that wind wasn’t so frigid! We started our day at Eastern Ave. CRC and decided to do some portraits outside… it was so cold but so definitely worth it. Then a few hours later we very quickly shot at the blue bridge downtown before heading to one of my favorite reception places – The Cheney Place. With their Edison bulbs, an industrial old world charm, and the natural hardwoods it’s hard not to think this place is the best ever for a reception. Lydia styled her wedding a lot after this place and it showed beautifully throughout. These two are so goofy, fun, amazing, and love each other more than anything else in this world. Enough talk from me however, it’s picture time!

Happy November everyone! With the snow yesterday I had no idea how today would end up… surprisingly beautiful! Just like this little girl and her family (and their new house – holy cow!)
Here’s part four of the Alice Ann installments! What a happy little baby girl… big smile for me when I walked right in the door – Just what I love to see walking into a little baby shoot! She’s only been around 7 months now, but it seems like she’s been around for forever now. You may recognize some of the usual things we like to shoot in front of (to show growth of course!) but in a new location. I am so green with envy at Derek and Laura’s new home and cannot WAIT to shoot there more. Especially in that widow’s walk (copula) . Enough of that though, time for some quick photos :D
